Use of Force/Cell Extraction Legal Ramifications for DRT/SRT Teams

This course is open to all sworn Patrol and Detention DRT/SRT personnel in Sheriff’s Offices.

Attendees can expect a classroom discussion training with hands-on applications, where problem solving, and decision making will be discussed. Recent national cases will be reviewed, with both court findings and on body camera recordings discussed. Federal legal updates for 2026 will be given, and your policy guidelines will be compared.

**Bring your cell extraction uniforms, gear, equipment and be prepared for physical drills!

This course has been approved for 4 hours of POST training credit.

Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
