This course is open to all sworn or non-sworn Law Enforcement personnel. This newly updated POST certified course includes suggestions for all line to command level staff members. Presented through a combination of classroom lecture and practical exercises, this 2-hour course will provide students with principles and techniques that will help them better handle tense interactions with the public, focusing on both their survival and effective communication to de-escalate the situation. Topics covered will include:
