This course is open to all sworn or non-sworn Law Enforcement personnel.

This newly updated POST certified class includes updated suggestions for all line to command level staff members.

Presented through a combination of classroom lecture and practical exercises, this 2-hour course will provide students with principles and techniques that will help them better handle tense interactions with the public, focusing on both their survival mindset and effective understanding of threats that require both quick communication and those allowing for de-escalation techniques.

• Uninvolved bystanders
•  Video recording devices
• Stages of readiness
•  Time vs need for action
• Graham vs. Conner review

Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
