In this webinar we will discuss the fundamental principles of successful internal investigation policies and protocols. Specifically, we will cover the costs of poor internal investigation practices, the most frequently cited employment practices that lead to investigations and litigation, how to select an investigator, and strategies and best practices when conducting internal investigations.

Lindsay has over 20 years of experience in investigations and criminal and civil litigation.  She spent five years with Ada County, as the county’s internal investigator, and later as a manager of human resources, benefits, and risk.  In those roles, she regularly acted as an advisor to department heads and elected officials on a broad range of legal compliance topics.  Prior to that, Lindsay worked in criminal defense and national security.  She served as the Investigations Supervisor for Georgetown Law’s Criminal Justice and Juvenile Justice Clinics and worked on federal death penalty litigation in Idaho.
