Ethics and Professionalism for Today’s Law Enforcement

This course is open to all sworn or non-sworn law enforcement personnel, in any division of Law Enforcement or related public service agency personnel.

The POST certified course has received EXCELLENT reviews from those who have attended it!!

Presented through a combination of classroom lecture and practical exercises, this 2-hour course will provide students with ethical principles and situational dilemmas that will help them make proper independent decisions with a focus on public expectations. Focus will be given to both proper conduct with peers and the public in everyday law enforcement activities. Topics will include:

  • Idaho Code of Ethics
  • Public Expectations
  • Daily Officer Conduct
  • Managerial Ethics
  • Agency Culture
  • Critical Incident Handling
  • Social Media Temptations
  • Personal Boundary Issues
  • Reporting Techniques

Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
