This course is open to all sworn or non-sworn Command Level Supervisors, or above, in any division of Law Enforcement or related public service agency personnel.

This newly updated POST certified class includes updates for all line to command level staff members.

Presented through a combination of classroom lecture and law enforcement videos, this 1-hour course will provide attendees with principles and techniques that will help them better understand tense interactions with the public and those that are going into custody.

Topics covered will include:

  • Four-step communication
  • Officer safety
  • Uninvolved bystanders
  • Confrontational Conversations
  • Disability factors
  • Time vs need for action
  • Outside Resource Assistance

This course has been approved for 1 hour of POST training credit.

Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
