Legal Updates for Arrest/Search Warrants & Affidavit Drafting

This course is open to all sworn Patrol personnel in both Sheriff’s Offices and Police Departments.

Attendees can expect a classroom discussion training, where decision making will be discussed regarding Arrest and Search Warrants. Included in the presentation will be basic requirements needed for Affidavit Drafting and submission requirements for the courts. Federal case laws for Arrest/Search Warrants for 2025 will be given, and your policy guidelines will be compared.

• Privacy expectations
• Arrest warrants
• Search Warrants
• Detention Warrants
• Idaho criminal code related to Search and Seizure
