DESCRIPTION:Detailed Course Information: Link \nThis course is open to all sworn or non-sworn Command Level Supervisors\, or above\, in any division of Law Enforcement or related public service agency personnel. \nThis newly updated POST certified class includes updates for all line to command level staff members. \nPresented through a combination of classroom lecture and law enforcement videos\, this 1-hour course will provide attendees with principles and techniques that will help them better understand tense interactions with the public and those that are going into custody. \nTopics covered will include: \n\nFour-step communication\nOfficer safety\nUninvolved bystanders\nConfrontational Conversations\nDisability factors\nTime vs need for action\nOutside Resource Assistance\n\nThis course has been approved for 1 hour of POST training credit. \nPRESENTED BY: Chad Sarmento ICRMP Law Enforcement Risk Manager  \nFor more information or to register\, please contact Chad Sarmento @ csarmento@icrmp.org \n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		\n		\n			Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander\, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP\, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
