DESCRIPTION:Detailed Course Information: Link \nThis course is open to all sworn Patrol personnel in both Sheriff’s Offices and Police Departments. \nAttendees can expect a classroom discussion training\, where problem solving\, and decision making will be discussed. Responding to calls\, balancing of use of force authorization with case laws surrounding pursuits and lethal force justifications will be presented. Federal legal updates for 2022 will be given\, and your policy guidelines will be compared. The following will be specifically discussed: \nCivil Liability                                    Graham v Conner \nSuspect Seizure                               Brandin v California \nDeliberate Indifference                Qualified Immunity \nPlumhoff v Rickard                        McRaven v Sanders \nIdaho Code                                     Summary Judgement \nThis course has been approved for 2 hours of POST training credit. \n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander\, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP\, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
