DESCRIPTION:Detailed Course Information: Link \nThis course is open to all sworn Patrol and Detention personnel in both Sheriff’s Offices and Police Departments. \nAttendees can expect a range discussion where both Federal and State of Idaho laws will be presented for review regarding the use of deadly force. Firearm decisions and handling will be covered\, to include movement drills\, multiple threats\, and public awareness/safety. At the conclusion POST firearms qualifications will be conducted for all those in attendance. \nThe following will be specifically discussed/presented: \n\nCivil liability\nGraham v Conner\nSuspect seizure\nTennessee v Garner\nConstitutional concerns\nFirearms handling\nMovements and shooting\nReloading techniques\nMalfunctions\nTransition drills\n\nQualifications will be done for primary/backup pistols and rifles. \nThis course has been approved for 4 hours of POST training credit. \nFor more information or to register\, please contact Chad Sarmento @ csarmento@icrmp.org \n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander\, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.

Attendees can expect to move with full equipment\, respond from a seated position from a patrol vehicle\, and address targets from non-conventional shooting platforms. At the conclusion of this training a night qualification will be administered. \nThe following will be specifically discussed/presented: \n\nGraham vs. Conner\nTennessee v Garner\nFirearms Manipulation\nLow-Light Shooting\nMovements and Shooting\nReloading Techniques\nMalfunctions\nTransition drills\n\nPlease wear appropriate range attire!
